Warm heart on a freezing day.

You know there is something special about a friendship when you don’t talk to someone for a year and a half, and when you suddenly decide to have a Skype date it is as though you’ve only been apart for a week.

Here’s to those relationships that warm your heart.

Cheers.

This is so pretty.
Sometimes fall feels this colorful.
But sometimes we fail to see it.
It makes me wish that we could look for this everyday.
I’m pretty sure it’s out there if we give it a chance.

Possibly a future quilt… Made with scraps! It’s not that I never thought I would be a quilter… I always thought I’d have 40 years beforehand… Oh well!

I never saw this coming.

I just had a meeting with the professor in charge of SPU’s Clothing and Textiles department.  So, now I might be a Visual Communications major with a Clothing and Textiles minor?  This is coming from a girl who was set on being an art teacher.  I didn’t think I’d become the girl that studies fashion in college…but now I just can’t help it.  If it’s not too blasphemous, I’ll blame God.  He just so perfectly got me a job at a fabric shop which reopened this wound which seeps out a passion for fabrics and sewing.(Sorry, that’s a pretty grotesque image to pair with such a subject…)  I started sewing when I was about 10 years old, and it’s always been something I’ve enjoyed doing, but just something on the back burner.  I don’t really know where this is going to go, but I’m going with it for now.  Maybe one of my hold-backs is that it seems more materialistic than I would have wanted to be.  But, hey, if it’s what moves me, then I shouldn’t care how other people will think of it, because that’s really what would be superficial.
